2010 Canadian Export Business Award
The fourth Canadian Agri-Food Export Gala marked the opening of the 7th edition of SIAL Canada held in Montréal, at the Palais des congrès from April 21st to 23rd.
This year, the 2010 Canadian Export Business Award goes to Veg Pro International inc. based in Sherrington, Québec. Specializing in processing and packaging baby lettuces and spinach, the company has experienced strong growth in 2009, winning over large American food chains by its ability to react quickly to their demands and supply them year round with fresh products.
Veg Pro International made a name for itself in a highly competitive market thanks to its Fresh Attitude brand, appreciated by consumers for its quality and freshness. It also gained its clients’ trust by using an avant-garde traceability system and environmental methods that minimize its ecological footprint.
The Canadian Export Business rewards the outstanding achievements of an agri-food company on international markets, namely for its strategic approach to exports, a significant breakthrough in sales in 2009 after at least three years on foreign markets, and the marketing of innovative products.
