Veg Pro International has won a prestigious award at the CPMA 2010 convention and trade show with its new Fresh Attitude ready-to-eat salads.
Sherrington, May 25, 2010 — During the Canadian Produce Marketing Association’s annual convention and trade show, which took place from May 12 to 14 in Vancouver, Veg Pro International received the award for Best New Product 2010 of the Canadian fruits and vegetable industry, with its new Fresh Attitude ready-to-eat salads.
This industry recognition is given to the company that has distinguished itself by its dedication, hard work and desire to develop a new product that inspires competition, buyers and the fruits and vegetables industry.
About Veg Pro International
Founded in the Montérégie region in 1952, this family business is Québec’s leading fresh vegetable grower. Veg Pro International grows various lettuce types and other fresh vegetables within the province from May to November, and in Florida during the winter. Each year, the company employs over 500 people.
Veg Pro International is one of the few local spring mix producing companies in Québec. Several of its products, such as baby greens and spinach, are sold in 100% recyclable plastic containers under the “Fresh Attitude” brand in the produce section.
